Background
Opened in August 2015, FABSL's airbase was initially one of two separate airfields occupying the 'Nadelhorn' region. 'Nadelhorn' was split into four equal parcels of land, with each of the two northern quarters becoming host to a separate airport - YouFly Aerodromo occupying the north-western quarter and Brazilian Air Force SL in the north-eastern part. In November 2015 YouFly Aerodromo ceased operating, leaving FABSL's facility the sole airport in the region.
FABSL's Station 1 District 1 facility served as the military roleplay group's air operations center, where air operations were conducted involving different missions; from bailouts to air escorts. The aerodrome was equipped with a single, north-south 120m x 15m runway. Alongside, to its west, are four tie-down spaces, an air traffic control tower, refuelling facilities and a two-storey administrative building.
In July 2016 it was discovered that this land has been abandon.
