This is a historic article about an airport which no longer exists or has been replaced.
Dockside Marina/Airfield (ICAO: SL--) was a small public skyport floating above the 'Chong' region of north-eastern Sansara.
Landing Advisories
- Free-floating airport platform at 1205m, best approach from 1210m or higher.
Background
A Second World War themed airfield was constructed atop a floating platform in the 'Chong' region. It featured a short runway, several hangars, bar/recreation areas, and a simple wooden control tower. At sea level there was a marina with access to 30+ regions of inland seas. Teleport platforms linked the two locations for easy access to surface and sky port levels. The facility ceased operating circa May-July 2014.
Airlines
At its height, there were no scheduled services operating to or from Dockside Marina/Airfield, however charter flights may have been available on request.
