Background

Civil Protection - Emergency Response Volunteers Station Muirhead was located within East River Municipal Airport. The hangar was an East River Community vintage structure, formerly the air operations hangar for the decommissioned SLCG Station Muirhead, which eventually became part of the new East River Maritime Center complex. CP Station Muirhead used the adjoining East River Municipal Airport for operations. As of October 2017, Civil Protection - Emergency Response Volunteers had ceased operations at Station Muirhead.
