The Laminar-DLM Eagle Mk II is a single-seat, single-engine racing monoplane. The experimental aircraft was created as part of a joint project by Laminar Systems and DLM Aerospace.

Background

The Laminar-DLM Eagle Mk II was created as part of a collaborative effort between Laminar Systems and DLM Aerospace. The aircraft is equipped with a sliding "bubble" canopy, working lighting (landing light, navigation lights, strobes, and beacon), start-up smoke effects and animated cockpit instrumentation. Although a basic (and somewhat buggy) aircraft, the Eagle was released as an open-source gift for potential developers to experiment with the Laminar Flight Release (LFR) aircraft script.

Features

  • Working cockpit instrumentation.
  • Animated components (canopy, propeller, instruments).
  • Laminar flight release (LFR) physics.
  • Working lighting (landing lights, navigation lights, strobes and beacon).
