A fixed platform is a type of offshore platform with facilities for commercial aviation flights to take off and land. These platforms are built on concrete and/or steel legs anchored directly onto the seabed, supporting a deck with space for a landing area, apron, passenger facilities and utility buildings such as control towers, hangars and terminals.
