This is a historic article about an airport which no longer exists or has been replaced.
Flanders Field (ICAO: SL--) was a public airport in the 'Wainscot' region of north-eastern Heterocera Atoll. After a relatively long existence the facility ceased operating in 2013.
Landing Advisories
- Short runway advisory! Larger aircraft may have difficulty decelerating immediately after landing.
Background
One of only two airports operating at surface level on Heterocera Atoll continent. Visit terminal building for airport information and diagram. Very large hangars available for rent. Runway is wide but short so may not accommodate larger planes. VTOL landing pads available north of runway. A train station that is connected to the continents' Linden railway system was located in close proximity to the airfield.
Airlines
At its height, there were no scheduled services operating to or from Flanders Field Airport, however charter flights may have been available on request.
