The Second Life Airport Information Guide, also known as the SL Airport Map, is a website (and in-world map) which collects and supplies airport information - such as runway directions, landing advisories and news, to Second Life aviators.

Background

Founded in mid 2007 by Second Life aviation enthusiast Zack84 Burton (Fox of Doom), the guide has provided an accurate listing of airport facilities through their network of pilots, airport owners and aircraft manufacturers. This guide is intended to make flying more efficient by giving pilots an easy way to mark and track airports and their designated runways through the use of an external web browser or through the embedded in-world equivalent.

Originally hosted by Google Sites, the guide moved to Tripod, before finally getting its own dot com URL. The guide can be found at:
