Background
Opened in mid-2014, Sunova Beach Airport was a single-runway airport constructed atop of 40m high platform. At the east end of the platform aviators could find refuelling facilities and a modest terminal building with two check-in desks. Underneath the flight-deck, at sea-level, was a mid-sized marina for boats and seaplanes, along with a bar. As with its sister airport in Corsica, the airport was discovered closed in November 2014.
