Background
Vellas Airport was a single-runway floating airport equipped with a small ATC tower and several hangar structures. It existed near the now-defunct Zee West Airport and was active around 2011.[1] By 2013 the airfield was no longer in existence, although it is probable that it closed long before 2013.

At its height, there were no scheduled services operating to or from Vellas Airport, however charter flights may have been available on request.
