Wiener Neustadt Airport (German: Flughafen Wiener Neustadt) (ICAO: SLWN/LOWN) was a public airport in the 'Wiener Neustadt' region of the Niederösterreich Estate (Lower Austria) - a privately-operated group of German-speaking sims which existed to the west of the Meisterbastler-Kreis Estate.

Landing Advisories

  • Pilots can only fly to other locations in the Meisterbastler-Kreis (MBK) landmass from this location.
  • Short runway/large wingspan aircraft advisory.

Background

One of three airports in the Meisterbastler-Kreis (MBK) chain of German-speaking sims, Wiener Neustadt was a simple, single-runway airport equipped with a large prefabricated hangar/ATC building. A compact airport, it was designed to accommodate small aircraft such as the Cessna 421 up to business jets like the Learjet 60. The facility ceased operating in July 2015, as the Niederösterreich Estate was taken offline and its constituent regions re-purposed.

Airlines

At its height, there were no scheduled services operating to or from Wiener Neustadt, however charter flights may have been available on request.
